Important People
The Tennessee Valley Authority, set up by Franklin Delano Roosevelt, was initially run by a group of three men. These were Arthur Morgan, Harcourt Morgan, and David Lilienthal. They were the original Board of Directors for the TVA, and propelled the organization forward in its early years. Each man had different goals for the TVA and had varying ideas for how the organization would aid the Tennessee Valley area.
